Sound Earth is celebrating 5 years in business!

new beginnings, birth of our company2003

In February Sound Earth officially opened it's doors for business (then named Clearly Natural).

We joined Stony Kill Environmental Education Center for their Earth Day celebration - our first show.

In August owner Ann LaGoy sold Home Assistance Cleaning Service to long time employees Jose and Cecilia Bernabe to focus on manufacturing natural cleaning products. Find out about Home Assistance Cleaning Service by clicking here.

2004

Sound Earth is recognized as a cruelty free company by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics. We pledge the Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals. speak about chemicals in the environmentOwner Ann LaGoy was invited to speak about the affects chemicals in the environment have on our bodies at the annual Scarborough Fair at the Mills Mansion, organized by the Cornell Cooperative Extension, Dutchess County. This was the first of many speaking engagements since. Audiences from Dutchess County Environmental Management Council, West Point, Vassar College, and the Unitarian Fellowship of Poughkeepsie have benefited from Ann's research on this subject. This was the first year Sound Earth participated in the Great Hudson River Revival with the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. We have participated every year since. Join us for our 5th year on June 21 & 22!

2005

Sound Earth changed it's name from Clearly Natural to better capture the essence of the company. Click here for more about Sound Earth, and our business practices.

Sound Earth pledges 10% of its profits to local, national, and international not-for-profit organizations. A pledge still held today.

2006

new manufacturing facility of Sound EarthSound Earth gets out of the kitchen! Until the summer of '06, all production of SE products was conducted in the the owner's kitchen. This was the year we moved into our manufacturing facility.

Sound Earth branched out to the state of Connecticut with their wholesale accounts. We are now in seven CT stores!

Sound Earth introduces the Body Guard bug repellant to our line of products.

In anticipation of Sound Earth's new logo and labels, work begins with local artist Peggy Farrington who helps bring our fun characters to life.

Sound Earth was granted status of Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the Division of Minority and Women's Business Development of the State of New York.

The launch of Sound Earth's new logo and labels was finally completed! After many months of consideration and effort, the first phase of Sound Earth's new labels appear on the shelves of retail stores. Click here for a close up of our new Green Cleaning Team.

We have lots planned for 2008.

Sound Earth representatives will be visiting all of our stores to introduce customers to our fabulous line of products. We will be handing out free samples, and demonstrating the products. Check out our schedule for dates of shows and store visits here.

We have begun phase two of our new labels, which include a new look for our scented sprays and baby line. Look for them on store shelves in late summer.

This spring we will be installing solar panels on the warehouse to help offset the impact of our growing company on the earth's resources. One more green step (lightly, please).
